My Miley has had her toe amputated but is OK to come home tonight. Despite this, the veterinary nurse is trying to keep her forever. I might have to fight her now.

She is home. Feeling very sorry for herself. Dave had to carry her. Either the anaesthetic of loss of toe made her keep falling over. We removed the cone of shame while watching her. So sleepy.pic.twitter.com/e32DvVyOzR

He will be having his little bollix off next week so I might have matching lampshades!

Seems Miley had broken her toe some time ago, failed to mention it to her humans and kept rebreaking it until it fused badly and got swollen and infected. Now, it has cost £1,400 to xray and remove the toe and she is glaring at us reproachfully for letting the vet do that.

Replying to @HPluckrose
This may sound harsh but didn't you have a cap on spending? £1.400 sounds like a lot for a "mere" dog. (Also, sometimes you can get a discount at a vet by mentioning a top figure for treatment A).
