I'm sorry but that was silly. If I trust people I know to be trustworthy from personal experience, I should trust all rape accusations because statistically people I know are no more likely to be trustworthy than people I don't.
That would assume that previously society thought women lied about sexual assault and now it needs to think they don't. I don't think we have generally assumed lies and I think we still need to take case by case and beware ideological motivations.

Yes, that’s fair. But I do think “we’ve” often assumed lies before. What I’m wondering about is if you think there’s no need for a societal attitude change. (You seem to be saying no.)
