Ah, OK, yes. I too think it is unreasonable to expect men to be emotionally invested in a wanted pregnancy and indifferent to an unwanted one. https://twitter.com/Tigerlore88/status/983871182112940032 …

Hormones are like madness. I think it very likely many men who would go for the signing option would not so easily have an abortion if they felt so tender & nurturing & emotional & knew this would end the life of their potential child even if rational mind said best option
-
Many would. Many women do. I have supported two friends with this and after a couple of weeks of crying jags they were fine. I couldn't do it tho. The cost to my mental health would be enormous. This needs to be taken into account.

And yet, the situation is not fair to men. I would support some kind of means testing of the mother for requiring men to support a child they do not want and only up until the child goes to school and the mother can work. A compromise?
-
This is also because if a mother cannot support a baby and work and most can't, the state ends up supporting them. I am fine with this if it cannot be helped. It's what I pay taxes for. But a bit much if father could support but chooses to opt out.

Yah...probably sound defeatist. But the interests of enough men have been at stake for a very long time. I get the feeling that if there was a workable alternative...we'd have found it by now lol.

Don't wanna diminish the inequalities that men suffer in upholding women's rights as they regard to child birth/abortion. Bad actresses engage in opportunistic and power-seeking behavior provided by the circumstances. Not much one can do but prepare your sons for the risks.
