The most respectful and accurate term is women.https://twitter.com/ChurchillLib/status/983761748103606272 …
But 'transwoman and woman' is currently understood to mean not accepting trans women as women tho so could only be used by people who don't. It's ideological rather than universally applicable.

Wow. I'm speechless except to say that I am a woman and I will never accept the label "cisgender." Believe whatever you want to about me.
-
I won't believe anything about you from that except that you don't like 'cisgender.' Is there a word you would accept as polite to distinguish you from trans women or do you feel that only cis (sorry) women should be called 'women'? I don't know what else to say!
-
Yes, there are women and transwomen. There are also men and transmen. There's nothing wrong with using those terms to accurately describe people.
-
OK, but they are only usable by people with those views. I think I'll have to keep cisgendered when I need to differentiate because I don't want to have to use terminology I don't believe in. I'll defend your right not to have to either.
-
I'm all for freedom of speech for everyone but I seriously doubt whether transactivism will benefit in the long run from using terminology that has alienated people like me.
-
I'm unsure what term would be appropriate tho for people who want to accept trans women as women. Can't really use terminology which implies that they are not just to please people who think that. I hope that accepting their right to disagree would be enough to keep them onside.
-
Ah, I think the problem for you is not a problem for me because women are women and transwomen are transwomen. Womanhood has not been changed by their existence. I accept and embrace them as transwomen.
-
No, probably not. And if you don't insist on people using your preferred terminology, there's no problem, really! We can just disagree.
