Wasnt suggesting equivalence exactly but it is a problem and it seems like theres a possible solution available. Generally agree with your position on the first situation.

I don't see a straightforward solution until men can get pregnant or women can sign away their pregnancy in the knowledge that it will live and be cared for. Until then, we have to accept that biological inequality makes identical rights impossible.
