So ugly. On the one hand, we want men to be more emotionally expressive and tender. On the other, we can't imagine that a man could genuinely feel grief at the unwanted loss of an embryo like women can & must just mock his tears, call him names & insist it can only be misogyny.https://twitter.com/plathalogical/status/982948622110199808 …

For every guy who’s upset at the thought of a gf aborting his baby, there is a guy kicking his girlfriend out of the apartment because she got pregnant. That’s why women have little sympathy. I have a friend who’s husband divorced her because she wanted to keep a baby.

I think plenty of women have sympathy. It's surely not normal to mock 'male tears' at grief of the loss of a baby? We, of all people, know what that feels like? 1 in 3 first pregnancies end in miscarriage. We're not callously indifferent to men who grieve coz bastards exist?

It's... maybe not normal, but I don't think it's really abnormal either. Contempt for "male tears" is deeply rooted in our society, after all; feminists tend to be more juvenile and openly sadistic about it but they're basically just following the "patriarchy's" lead.

I can no longer remember clearly now... but I think an ex-gf told me once that she had an abortion... or was it a miscarriage? She only told me some time after we broke up. She was afraid I would be upset with her. I wasn't... I still wonder what could have been, though...
