So ugly. On the one hand, we want men to be more emotionally expressive and tender. On the other, we can't imagine that a man could genuinely feel grief at the unwanted loss of an embryo like women can & must just mock his tears, call him names & insist it can only be misogyny.https://twitter.com/plathalogical/status/982948622110199808 …

Sadly, because it is women who carry for 9 months, it is believed by many that they hold ALL of the cards and the father has to shut up and accept whatever decision the mother makes irrespective of what he wants.
-
I think women do have to have the final say. It's unfair but it's a biological inequality and there's not much that can be done about it. But denying that men can have feelings and even feel love for their embryos is horribly callous.
-
I accept that women have the final say, and I agree with you in that a man's emotions and concerns need to be considered. But I believe it should be before making the decision and should be taken together. Yes the woman has more of a say, but she shouldn't have the only say.

Ideally, yes. This is the responsible thing. And men should be able to express their feelings on it and women should consider them. Ultimately, tho, a woman cannot be forced to continue a pregnancy if she does not want to.

Respecting her decision is the key issue here, it doesn't look like the tweet refers to a man being sad over the loss of a potential child, but over the entitlement of another person's body.
-
It would be so easy to say that rather than mock male tears and call them gargoyles who feel entitled to women's bodies if they shed them.
