Yes but the people within those departments are gonna fight back and while scientists train years to get good at science. The people in those departments have trained in years to get good at group-think, political influence and propaganda - and view all science the same way.

Absolutely! We have to win, my question however is whether its possible for us to win in the current Academia? I would ask the same way about U.N.. Is it possible to win when any bad country breaks up into 2 countries which endlessly give broken countries a majority of votes?

Another issue is that its a lot easier to start a non-scientific discipline with low standard than a scientific one with high standard and in any democratic capacity they already have the majority of votes in any decision. They simply created more fields = more chairs for them.
