Does academic social justice scholarship draw on Marxism and does intersectionality include class as part of marginalised identities? I think it predates Marxism (as you do) and will always be part of the left because it relates to liberal moral foundations. What changes is how well we base this on evidence and how strongly we uphold universal human rights.
