One already exists. It's called the Nolan Chart. Incidentally, there's an ex-big-L libertarian who runs http://www.nolanchart.com using this model. It's a site where someone from every political background can write essays and respond to others in an amicable way.

I mention it because he modified the original survey questions to be less biased than David Nolan's original survey. But his concept was that learning from others viewpoints was critical in order to fully understand one's own political philosophy.
