Yep. This is awful. Of course, some atheists are far-right loons and some atheists are far-left loons because, guess what, atheism is neither a political position nor an innoculation against lunacy. Most of us, like most of the population, are not loons of any kind tho.https://twitter.com/MrAndyNgo/status/980991834909478913 …

As I observed before, there is an effort being put in overdrive to link non-SJ atheists by any means necessary to Richard Spencer. This particular column is quite egregious. Don’t signal virtues adequately? Must mean you support alt-right. pic.twitter.com/GWJJKR6DEx

It certainly doesn't help when the far-left loons call everyone to the right of them 'alt-right' and go lumping people like Sam Harris and Richard Dawkins with Richard Spencer, ffs.

No major atheist organisations spoke out when Richard Spencer said he was an atheist? Damning! I don't even think it's necessary for people to take responsibility for other people who believe the same thing as them, let alone other people who disbelieve the same thing as them.

And yet again, women and people of color allegedly being made to feel unsafe and unwelcome by certain atheist environments partic online, which only works if you only listen to those who feel unsafe and unwelcome whenever anyone disagrees with them. Don't listen to those people.

I don't want to 'identify' as an atheist and 'do atheism' or align myself with a branch of a movement, but this is kind of being forced on me by the increasing attacks by far-left 'skeptics' on those who won't get in line.pic.twitter.com/DXwLGooCvw

That article of yours we discussed the other day where you talked about how atheists won and objectors are never gonna see at this point doesn't help you *not* identify as atheist. 🙂

It kind of does. That's why. The battle is over. I've laid down my arms,. It's all been said. I'll continue not to believe and to say I do not believe but I am not going to 'do atheism' any more or take it as an identity. I have moved on.

If you think atheism "won" then you think it's true and you're an atheist. You don't have to actively be "doing" it. I think that "aligns" you with atheism probably even more than people still "doing" atheism. ☺️

I am an atheist. No doubt about that. I'm just not going to define myself by it and take it on as an identity.

There are huge swath of atheist who are dogmatic about their belief, and take it on as an identity. This stems from them making the same epistemological error as theists. Claiming to know the unknowable. Usually people who don’t make that claim say they are agnostic.

As for the sjw fight, the atheists largely ally with the high church Christians
