This is funny, I have plenty of friends, in non-traditional marriages, or who are not married at all, who are more committed to raising their child together, as a happy kid, than many of the married couples I know. Good parenting doesn't come from a piece of paper.

I believe if you are going to have children, saying vows to each other certainly would seem to be aiming at the good. Society seems to have lost the framework for meaning and it shows.
