Why is it a problem that same sex couples can't have biological kids together? And why is it a problem for marriage?
-
Why do adopted kids seek out their biological parents?
-
Because they want to know where they came from? How does this relate to anything?!
-
It’s part of creating “a stable, secure reproductive environment“. Follow the discussion chain back up.

How is it? No-one is taking kids from parents because they're stable and secure.
-
There’s the issue of where adoptive & foster children are placed. There’s also the issue of creating biological children of one parent, which is also a concern with single women, etc. I don’t personally see this as a show-stopper but can understand why others do.

Based on a hierarchy of better and worse thans, I can imagine many circumstances where kids would be better off with same sex parents than alternatives, so it depends on what the alternatives are.
