You know you can eat all the green veggies you want right?

Sadly, no. I was having asparagus and broccoli at the beginning but kept coming out of ketosis. Now that I am measuring ketones, I find I can have a very little of them and of avocado without going out of ketosis.

Every few days I like to taper off into lean meat and greens for a day or two. Technically, it isn't "keto", but it gives me a much needed break from it!

Do you eat any veggies? I would just eat a huge amount of that.

I did the 5:2 diet for 3 years and found it much easier to fast for two days a week than limit myself to 650 cals. I didn't have the urge to 'bulk up' on the other 5 days, either. I originally did it not to lose weight but to reduce my cholesterol, which it did very effectively.

I soothe my conscience with "Low-carb doesn't mean zero-carb!"

When you are extremely sensitive to carbs, this happens. It got better for me after a couple months. I make flaxseed crackers that really help when I am craving salty, crunchy food.

I definitely know that feeling. Let us know if the fasting works.
