At the end of 1st month of Keto, I've lost 8lbs, my neuro symptoms have drastically reduced & my skin, energy levels & mental clarity are better. I think weight loss would be greater if I hadn't been doing it wrong for the first 2 weeks & also abandoned it for few days in a sulk.

For the second month, I will monitor carbs closely and measure ketones regularly. I will keep carbs below 5% & protein below 20%. I will fast intermittently & I will keep daily calories under 2000. This appears to be the key and is not difficult to sustain. I will report progress

OK, I just wanted to record that. I am now going off for my week of focusing on work, diet and exercise and spring-cleaning. See you on the other side.

Having too many avocados to stay in ketosis & overreating (due to mistaking carbohydrate cravings for hunger). I need to monitor carbs very strictly and keep caloric intake below 2000 and then all is well.

Awesome! The mental clarity benefit blows me away. I did 12 weeks in 2014 as a reset and never looked back. That tiny step has kept me on a mission of continuous improvements in mind and body.

First few weeks are the hardest because you're just getting started & trying to get motivated. Staying motivated can be tough but routine helps a lot. By the sound of things so far so good.

I didn't know that you had returned to the Keto diet. Congratulations on how well it's working out for you.

Congrats on your progress. It took me several attempts to work out some kinks, and setbacks are an opportunity to start again with new knowledge. I've learned to make fat bombs, found replacements for my favorite high carb treats, and more. Has to be sustainable.

I recently started a diet: calorie deficit approach. I've lost 10lbs in 2 weeks, which is a boost to my confidence, but everything else feels kinda the same. Just thought I'd share for people to contrast keto from non keto diets.
