Most people know this & yet many strengthen the element of the right that doesn't because they fear the left is worse. I think they're wrong but I also think this is better addressed by fixing the problems on the left and winning ppl back than going on * on abt populism being bad

I think the problem undermining the left right now and leaving the door open to the worst of the right is ultimately one of good aims pursued using a terrible epistemology & that nothing can much improve until that is recognised and remedied.

The pop right may not be very interesting but because they acknowledge facts the left refuses to discuss and because they are the ones now most likely to stand up for free speech, they are ironically the ones most likely to enrich our national discourse whatever their faults, no?
