Can be a matter of what you know & what interests you. Sustained criticism of a problem in depth requires finding it interesting as well as troubling. For me, religion & postmodernism's complicated weirdness is fascinating. The populist right's is mundane, shallow, dull, obvioushttps://twitter.com/christianjbdev/status/979748747663020032 …

If I were to pick the biggest problem and most important to raise awareness of, it would probably be climate change. If I were a more altruistic & noble person, I would set aside the study of ideology that inspires me & learn the science which makes me fall asleep. I am not.

Also, I strongly suspect I'd just lose all my readers because meteorology simply isn't nearly as interesting as culture, ethics, psychology, politics, Humans are overwhelmingly more interested in how people think.

How the populist right think is not very interesting at all and if Trump thinks, it's not evident. I can't get enthusiastic about going on & on about xenophobia, racism, sexism, homophobia are bad and why it's better not to let ppl die for lack of healthcare and welfare support.

Most people know this & yet many strengthen the element of the right that doesn't because they fear the left is worse. I think they're wrong but I also think this is better addressed by fixing the problems on the left and winning ppl back than going on * on abt populism being bad

I think the problem undermining the left right now and leaving the door open to the worst of the right is ultimately one of good aims pursued using a terrible epistemology & that nothing can much improve until that is recognised and remedied.
