I must side with @pluckrose_david. Sock drawers are good. Even better when you have one drawer for white socks and another for dark colors. When you add those little plastic dividers, it’s a thing of beauty.

Good thing we are not married! You are worse than him and also have a gun. I would be dead now.
-
‘Tis true. That said, I haven’t shot anyone over socks yet.
-
Be glad you've never been in the british military, We had to fold and roll individual socks around cardboard, so they appeared to be smiling, as part of our locker layout. This may explain why I have none of the cleanliness or tidying aspects amongst my OCD behaviours...
-
You describe that folding technique like it’s a bad thing. I will be trying it immediately.
-
It is a bad thing when someone uses a ruler to check things, not just the socks, are the right size and in the right place. Mistakes could see the locker and contents on the floor or even thrown out of the window.

Pro tip: store your clean clothes in the dryer and dirty clothes in the washer, then you don't need drawers!

No, nope, nee. David is right. Things have their proper place. Time is wasted looking for things. Nothing more infuriating than utensils/clothes/letters being in the wrong drawer etc.

Right. I thought everyone was clear on ‘the right place’ being the floor.
