ive found bad takes behind block walls before. that’s what i do
but hey, i’m sure this was an anomaly from her because everyone ive spoken to is shocked about it. so it’s cool
(i’ll keep my screenshots up, though, as receipts. the internet doesnt forget)

Consider not doing that but respecting that if someone has taken steps not to have contact with you, this is a request to be left alone that you should respect rather than forcing the contact & justifying it with 'But she's really, really wrong.'

this is inconsistent logic. i’m blocked by tara mccarthy, as are many others. we shouldnt subtweet her when she says something dumb?

No. You should not find ways to circumvent people's blocks even if you really, really disagree with them. If someone takes steps to prevent you from having contact with them, you should not force that contact. Applies even to people who you think morally reprehensible.

Got a piece coming out in a few days about this. Been getting a lot of it myself. People justifying harassing me, getting past blocks, making new accounts on the grounds that I'm not only wrong but really, really wrong. If I don't want to be harassed, I shldn't criticise feminism

i dont think that's what she's saying she will be doing tho going incognito to screen shot and make fun of bad takes isnt the same thing as that.

No, it's much milder. I would still advocate not finding ways to get around a block which is someone's intention not to speak to you or hear from you. I think we should respect that wish but don't harshly judge people who think it's OK providing contact isn't forced.

I approve of the idea of respect but I think that we should be able to argue about things people said. Even beyond a block. It’s how we challenge ideas. Although, with that stalker issue you have I completely understand why you are so against the idea. That guy is mental.

* I agree with arguing about a screenshot but I disapprove of trying to contact someone that has blicked you or make multiple accounts or send people after them etc etc. I also approve of blocking the name of the person on the screenshot. So only the idea is challenged.

I've just decided to be extra conscientious about respecting people's right to establish their own boundaries about who they talk to and listen to right now. I think the whole freedom of speech & associated freedoms around exchange of ideas is lacking respect for boundaries.
