No, it doesn't. What's better, chocolate or strawberry ice-cream?https://twitter.com/jkspradlin/status/979363486504488960 …

The question between faith based and evidence based epistemologies implies that every question can be answered by collecting evidence. I don't know if that's accurate, and I don't know if religious based views inherently require a faith based epistemology.

Would depend on what you mean by "better" of course;), but of course it also is a subjective thing, but you could conclude that one is "better" by collecting enough answers and seeing if one is preferred by the population over the other.

That would answer which was preferred by the population over the other. We can have legitimately different views on which we prefer.

Individually between the two of us, yes, but there is an argument to be made that if the population prefers chocolate over strawberry 2 to 1, that, at least as far as humans are concerned, chocolate ice cream is better. Sorry, I know I'm being quite facetious, I can't help it.;)

The quote is dead wrong. Even if there are questions that can't be answered by collecting evidence, that doesn't justify using other, worse epistemic methods like faith.

Chocolate all the way. This is a verifiable FACT and totally not just my subjective opinion based on my personal preference. We have reached pure epistemological certitude that this piece of knowledge is in fact TRUE! 🙃
