I read it more as misogyny meaning "bias against (for lack of a better phrase) 'women stuff'" not literal hatred. She's certainly right about needing better terms.

Connotation & denotation, yo. Also English words are defined by usage. So just like when some folks use fascist to describe jerks and not people actually engaged in political fascism, some folks use misogyny to mean sexism.

But that's not how language works. If enough people use a word one way, it then works that way. The confluence of change is confusing and of course we're allowed to say "that usage isn't useful" but railing against it is the discursive equivalent of old men yelling at clouds.

Testicles. It doesn't physical substance how many sloweds call a cat a dog; it's without change a cat. Misogyny is hatred of women, and anyone who says otherwise is a having sexual intercourseing feeble. But words never change, right bro?
