There is a kind of conservative who imagines that feminism is essentially 1970s lesbian separatism despite the fact that this essentially ended decades ago and the radical feminists, lesbian or not, are primary targets of the current dominant feminism - intersectionality.

I'll just give one example but there are many like her: Roxane Gay has been given massive media exposure in the USA, regularly featured in the most prominent liberal papers such as NYT. She is an overt misandrist, lesbian intersectional "fat feminist" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fat_feminism …

I know her bio and her work and her history. I'm sure others may get something out of that. Your assertion that it is a conservative fallacy academic feminism is dominated to this day by lesbians is unsubstantiated. We'll find the data on who is leading the conferences and post.

Then you know she's not a lesbian. Please do find it. I'd be very interested to see figures. I think I know who most of the leading feminist scholars are.

She is an open misandrist and she is supported by the most prominent liberals in America for her misandry. She absolutely hated men for most of her life and still does. A single essay does not prove anything. No true lesbian. Sure she is a spectrum. We all are.

I don't know if she's a misandrist. I looked for evidence of her being a lesbian. The political lesbianism of the 2nd wave is very different to the queer identity of today.

Her pinned tweet for years was "you call me a misandrist like it's a bad thing" I called her on it. Guess who joined in the male bashing. https://twitter.com/aodespair/status/664179225243557888 …

OK, but I'm not arguing that misandry is not a major thing. I am saying, for the last time, that political lesbian separatism has moved on to critical race theory, queer theory and intersectionality now and the old radfems, lesbian or not, are being no-platformed and vilified.

Ah. Yeah that gets complicated and quantifying it would require agreeing on metrics of speech and influence. I'll agree with you that intersectionality is running its course and displacing many radfems online. LGBTQ alliances have always been forced and fractious though.

They are not interested in the G, contemptuous of the B, usually declare the T to be a patriarchal conspiracy to steal women's identity and are ambiguous on the Q.

It’s almost as if Lesbians are only interested in other women who are also only interested in other women. Fancy that.

I wasn't talking about sexually. I was talking about the politics of the political lesbian separatists.
