In the country where I live, women cannot divorce their husbands, (only husbands can divorce wives). Women are forbidden from serving in certain parts of govt. A portion of state-run courts do not allow women to serve as judges. There is work to do, doesn’t mean women are fragile
-
No, it doesn't. It means women are oppressed and there is work to be done. Surely, you see the difference between this and the point of my letter?
-
Would you say that a society that does not allow women these rights is patriarchal or misogynistic?
-
The definition of patriarchal is a society where men have power over women, yes.
-
Would it be wrong of a man to say this? Or would that make him the type of a “male feminist” you decry?
