We must recognise the difference between 'society', 'men' and 'violent criminals who target women.' The last one is a source of hostility and danger to women. The first two are not.

The data on this are very clear. Most violent criminals are men. Ignoring this fact also makes the problem difficult to address.
-
Isn't it a good thing we can acknowledge that most violent criminals are men without equating violent criminals with men?
-
Sure is. But in identifying a problem, it's also important not to give too much credence to the cranks and weirdos who do assert 'All Men'. They're not making criminal justice policy or enforcing it. I choose to leave them at the margins, where they belong.

Have you written any articles on this particular issue? If not, I hope you do! I have a surfeit of friends (mostly white men) who can't get enough of posting "men are privileged and awful" pieces.

It is important to acknowledge the role androgens play in aggression. Not toxic masculinity. It’s a normal biological transition to adulthood. We can do more to help men be in control of their behavior.

Well...YOU want to reduce violent crime and not men. There are plenty of fucked up radfems that want to reduce men.
