I don't think it is my place, or yours, to tell other women, or any victim of harassment for that matter how they should respond to being harassed.

You appeared to think it was your place just 30 minutes ago. Amazing how one's opinions in a fundamental disagreement can shift so quickly. https://twitter.com/CriticalReader7/status/976976543930028038 …

All I said was that we should confront harassers instead of concerning ourselves with how we think someone should respond to being harassed...
-
Yes, what women you're unfamiliar with really need is intervention by chivalrous white knights like yourself, as they simply cannot cope with dealing with unpleasant situations themselves Such a sanctimonious saviour complex exposes a bigotry of low expectations towards women
-
If I see a harasser I'm confronting him, you can call me a white knight, or whatever the fuck you want. I don't like bullies, and I don't believe they should be ignored.
-
You're not confronting harassers. You're confronting women telling you we are stronger and more capable than you give us credit for and that society is not misogynistic and that we are not systematically abused by it. Back off. We are fine. We'll ask for help if we need it.
-
Wtf. I'm not offering you any help Helen, you clearly don't need nor did you ask for it. Now you're just putting words in my mouth.

Helen. I know I have been incredibly harmed by Girls Gone Wild. Can't you girls restrain yourselves? /s (The thread was far too long for me to parse to make this pithy comment)
