Apparently, women getting sent more unsolicited dick pics than men is proof that women are treated differently coz misogyny. It couldn't just be that most people are heterosexual including the clueless and/or abusive minority of men who send unsolicited dick pics.

Of course, to say such a thing will be understood to indicate that I think sending dick pics is fine rather than that I don't think it indicates that society is misogynistic.

So often the argument I have with feminists is whether some objectionable behaviour is explained by 'society is misogynistic' or by 'arseholes exist'.

This is a terrible take Helen. Is there an abusive minority of women sending unwanted pics too? Because I have yet to know a guy that receives unsolicited pics of anything intimate from a woman. hmm...

No, this is a man thing. Abusive women don't tend to be abusive in this way. I'm not sure how this response relates to what I said.

It is a man thing, specifically a MISOGYNIST man thing...

Possibly. Certainly abusive or incredibly clueless about what women like. It doesn't indicate that society is misogynist tho. It just shows that more men who are inclined to be sexually abusive in this way are heterosexual, almost certainly because more men are heterosexual.

The argument was that more women get dick pics than men because society is misogynistic. This ignores the fact that sending a dick pic is a crude sexual advance made by people with dicks and most people with dicks are attracted to women.

I think it means many men have different ideas of what they think of as interesting or enticing than most women do. And they don't understand that most women do NOT want a dick pic sent to them.

When I get unsolicited tit pics, I don't view it the same way a lass would view a dick pic either. A lot more why thank you, than ew...

It's the same as saying we live in a society of murderers because some people find it ok to murder. Same absurd argument.

It really doesn't, at least to me. It comes across as an insightful analysis of why something is happening as opposed to an ideologically-driven dogmatic position that doesn't explain fully why something is happening. If you want to fix something you need to articulate it well.
