Em - so you’ve not been following the ‘nazi’ pug debacle then?

I'm replying to Terry Varga's comments that "offensive comments will be investigated". He's misinterpreting 'offensive'. Really it's not that hard if you just give yourself a little time to think.

And I’m asking if you’re aware of the ‘nazi’ pug debacle that’s going on. Where “offensive comments” - well, “offensive” YouTube video has caused him to be prosecuted. It’s the same difference. Wrongthink is being punished. Freedom to offend will be crushed.

You are willingly giving up your right to free speech because you don't want your old mum to get called a name? What's wrong with you? Without free speech you can't complain about anything anyone does to you or your wobbly old mum.

I have free speech just fine thanks. I don't need to find phrases that would scare or make people feel useless unwanted and belittled just because of the skin they are born in. Sad you should want to though you only live a few years, hate and die as happy as Hitler.

Good for you. I don't either. I'm not going to arrest people for it tho. You do realise the Quran would not be able to be recited? The Jewish prayer - thank you for not making me a woman? That'd have to go. What about ppl who feel offended that gay couples can get married?

But criticise religions intelligently like Chris Hitchens and Richard Dawkins. Don't suggest it's funny that anyone should be exterminated because of who they have been born as and what they have been brainwashed into. I'm no defender of being offended. But I rail against hate.

Would you ban the Quran? Arrest people for reciting it? Or insist that the violent bits are removed first?

No. I refer you to my previous response. Hate preachers are as criminal as anyone.

OK, so do the violent and antisemitic and homophobic and misogynistic and slavery justifying bits of holy texts have to go? Or can people still read them? Can other people say the same thing as long as they use the words of the texts?
