Stop spreading utter crap. The replication paper itself had flaws & a 2nd team of researchers showed there isn't a replication crisis. Pls share this around to your followers a few times to counter act the misinformation & bad science you're pushing.https://youtu.be/h2GDZvGYPWg

I disagree. I think the "crap" claim is about as wrong as scientifically possible (though not as wrong as PoMo/SoCo/intersectional theory, but that stuff is not science). I started a new thread linked below. Disagreement welcome, c'mon over.https://twitter.com/PsychRabble/status/976083464125640705 …

Lee Jussim @PsychRabbleRetweeting this to start a new thread on this topic over at my tw site. In original convo,@KWintie refers to as "crap" the idea that "the social sciences have huge work to do because of p-hacking and the replication crisis." She is wrong. Disagreement welcome and invited. https://twitter.com/KWintie/status/976013729035898880 …2 replies 2 retweets 11 likes -

Could you explain to me what is wrong with intersectional theory?

But for my understanding, when you say that intersectionality is wrong, do you mean that the very basic premise, which I would summarise as "people face different problems in regards to different sets of groups they belong to", is wrong or something more specific?

The basic premise of intersectionality is fine - the intersection of being black and a woman is, in some circumstances, a subgroup that faces unique discrimination vs black men or non-black women. Where it goes off the rails is a) infinite splintering and b) erasing individuality

Or, the theory is fine but the heavy-handed application of it from, in my mind, over-simplifying folks who run away with it as the sole lens with which to view all problems and all circumstances, is wrong.

I can see what you mean, but tbh I find the opposite, the complete disregard of any intersectional approach, or worse the complete disregard of any discrimination a much more worrying and threatening problem, certainly in mainstream political discourse in the west.

Then don't do that. Universal liberalism with a focus on specific problems experienced by specific groups works just fine.
