I found secondary school did this. Suddenly, they weren't allowed to have friends of the opposite sex anymore and 'play' together. My daughter's refusal to wear a skirt was suddenly questioned & she got asked if she was trans a lot.https://twitter.com/LizlozC/status/975670100220096513 …

Tbf, she has and still has a child in her class who has rejected the idea that he is a girl coz vagina since he was at least 4 and still does at 14 so probably always will. This could have prompted thoughts on gender identity that may not have otherwise occurred.

Non girly girls are great! I coached high school girls soccer for 14 years and sports were a great venue for girls to get muddy, sweaty and aggressive. I was so proud when one of my full backs got a black eye playing and wore it as a badge of honour for the next two weeks.pic.twitter.com/1GGlJf3UUS

Many women in my family fall into that category. "girls but not girly" Some learned to embrace femininity more as they got older, but none of them *give* a shit. They do what they want. The way it should be. Boys are routinely more restricted though, imo ("tomboys" are common) :P
