Yes, it is tough. But worth it. I also appreciate the strategic use of the language but recognise that people who are not familiar with it might not see what he is doing with it and why it's so amazing.

Did you? I hadn't thought about it this way and it clarified a lot for me. It's not worth it for you if you didn't enjoy it. I did because it has layers and there's more than can be simply expressed.

I think it is suitable for a very niche readership. The people who do see what it is doing and how on a theoretical and literary level *really* love it but most people who just want to know what it is talking about do not.

Yes, it could be done in way fewer words and much more clearly and directly and he can do that. We've published things by him before where he has. I'd just like to have access to this version too. It's hard to explain why I was so delighted by it.

I find the allusive language of postmodernism can be very pleasing aesthetically tho most PoMos do not write well. I've admitted this is a guilty pleasure of mine & one of the reasons I read it. If it could just be an art form, that would be great.

To see it used to be so precise and logical and right was wonderful. I had to message him halfway through the first section and tell him how brilliant it was.
