OK! This piece which many of you have found difficult and some of you have become quite annoyed with. It addresses postmodern ideas in its own language but whereas postmodernism seeks to complicate & confuse, this piece seeks to show the workings. 1 of many.https://twitter.com/thesadredearth/status/972840550717181952 …
Yes, it could be done in way fewer words and much more clearly and directly and he can do that. We've published things by him before where he has. I'd just like to have access to this version too. It's hard to explain why I was so delighted by it.

I find the allusive language of postmodernism can be very pleasing aesthetically tho most PoMos do not write well. I've admitted this is a guilty pleasure of mine & one of the reasons I read it. If it could just be an art form, that would be great.

To see it used to be so precise and logical and right was wonderful. I had to message him halfway through the first section and tell him how brilliant it was.

Yes, there is that but it's not just a parody. It takes what is good and pleasurable - the flexibility and expansive meaning and just the whole feel of it - adds a distinct literary quality and puts it to the service of reason & precision. It's wonderful.

I sound nuts so I am delighted to have found a handful of people who also see it. The pool of people who both appreciate postmodern writing and are also happy to see it put to this use is probably tiny.
