Will increase carbs slowly so as not to shock to system. Just had tiny, tiny bowl of porridge and the awful hunger that has been making me miserable just stopped which no amount of meat has been able to do. Clearly was carbohydrate craving even after 18 days.

That is not what I am finding. I have been starving and miserable ever since I started this. One small bowl of porridge and I feel full again. I cannot stomach any more fat. It's been all I've been eating for 18 days and it makes me sick just to think about it.

The idea that we weren’t meant to eat any carbs seems wrong to me. Our taste buds are clearly tuned to want sugar. I don’t think ketosis is something we’re meant to be in perpetually, rather go in and out of as needed.

We're meant to eat carbs alright, just not highly processed/refined sugar and variants like HFCS

I will certainly agree that carb consumption has gotten way out of proportion, and a primarily meat-based diet is probably best. I'm not sure how much of a sin it is to eat a piece of fruit though.

We all need to investigate and experiment as you have done, to find what works for and is sustainable for each of us.

I snack on cheese, I find that helps between meals.
