I have always been slim apart from when on medication. I'm off it again now so am hopeful of being slim again.

The theories I've heard have to do with the microbiome, though. It may have been only one generation since the 40s for us, but it's been literally billions for our gut bacteria.

Abundance of cheap, manufactured calories in the form of grains and sugars (aka junk) correlate positively with obesity/cvd/diabetes. When humans eat what we evolved eating, those problems mostly correct themselves.

I think early conditioning plays a big role in someone’s potential to overeat. Since I went keto 12 months ago, I now struggle to gain weight because I just can’t physically eat enough calories from clean foods. They’re too dense. It was the drinking that made me put on the lbs
