Portion size was my first step in weight loss, then bread, then sugar. I don’t do Keto. I also found it much more bearable to kick my eating habits in stages. You can do this however you choose to do it!

The likelihood that you will put on fat if given a certain diet is largely down to genetics. The likelihood that you will have access to that diet and eat it is environmental (ie lifestyle). The access/lifestyle is what has changed within our lifetimes, not the genetics.

Have tried intermittent fasting btw? It works with any diet pretty much and is very good for losing fat.

Since Jan 1st I lost 9kg without any specific diet or medicine. I just started to count my calories and limiting it to 1200 kcal/day. After 2 weeks it became natural and simple. I was 93kg. Now I'm 84kg and want to reach 75kg. That was the diet that worked for me. No suffering.

Common complaint. Suggest branching out beyond bacon and sausage. Slow cook some pork ribs. Or a standing roast. Make up the oils elsewhere.

I switched from fatty meats to Turkey and Chicken for my Keto and have had steady results now. I use stuff like bacon as a once per week treat. The key remember is low carb, and lower cals. For fats, stick to awesome things like MCT oil, avocados' etc.
