What if you're a walking skeleton and then get run over by a truck? You'd regret every Big Mac you didn't eat!

Has there ever been a Big Mac anyone didn't regret eating at some level? As someone who was very thin until a medication & an accident triggered a rapid 75lb gain that has caused serious other issues, finding a way back to health is worth giving up some indulgences.

Same with me. Maintained weight of 150lbs at 5 ft 9 effortlessly. Could just do everything and move easily and feel comfortable. Neurological accident & medication & my weight doubled. The effects of the stroke-like things still disables me somewhat but obesity disables me more

It’s also about quality of life. You will feel better, be able to move further, faster, easier, for longer. Obesity-related expiry is an extremely nasty way to die.

Keep going. If you feel uncomfortable, if there are aspects of your health that could improve with weight loss, and if you have medical advice, then losing weight is a good goal. It may just be finding the right process. You don’t need to be ‘size zero’, just healthy.

'dieting' doesn't have to mean abstaining from everything bad, it can just as easily mean cutting down here and there. I blame named "Diets" for this confusion.

Stay the course! If you want a hamburger like that, split it with 3 people. That way you're not depriving yourself but you're managing your calories and exercising portion control.

I don’t think we need to be so cerebral about what we think we should eat. Our bodies know what were hungry for. Processed foods are really the issue as opposed to foods that makes us salivate & require chewing. Unless we’re diabetic or have heart disease salt & fat is healthful
