Hello, sorry in advance. Giving dieting advice over the internet is dull, but as this is the topic, I'll continue. Can you point me to a thread on why you decided on a ketogenic diet? Just wanted to see the reasoning. It may not be a good match for you, and that's ok.

I have been reading books on it. Apparently, as well as being very effective for weight loss, it was originally designed to treat neurological conditions like mine. And it is helping this. I have fewer headaches and my walking is less jolty.

Wow. Are there ANY foods which are just pure fat? That are palatable on their own?

It sounds as if the only thing this diet achieves is stressing you out more than anything. I'm trying to lose weight myself (a lot, not just five pounds) and I know how hard that is.

The fact that there are so many different dietary fads out there, which actually contradict each other, drives me nuts. One says "No fats", the next " No carbs". I have a feeling this is one of the big undiscovered conspiracies.
