Everybody disagrees. I went with the advice of one person yesterday who said to count calories too & a dozen people DMd me to say to ignore him & focus on macros.

Well, at the risk of appearing arrogant, I'd trust a measurement scientist with a quantitative background who knows first hand that--absent metabolic disturbance--calories matter. (I bodybuild). I also have a background in endocrinology.

Most bodies will adapt to static meal plans and if your exercise routine is not great. Have to take Genetics into account and find what you process well. What is you alls Training program like?

I do 1 hr toning (quite a tough regime), 1 hour minimum dance, 15k steps daily.
