Too many tweets. Gonna have to leave them. Also going to have to choose between blocking half of Twitter and losing my mind, I think. I don't like people, right now. Particularly philosophers. You can't talk to philosophers. Better not to try.

You think, therefore you have Twitter problems.

Philosophers are a problem. They don't seem to have figured out that using words to describe words is a flawed approach.

Can't follow you there. Describing a (until then badly defined) word with other words is perfectly fine if we agree on what those words mean.

If we agree... Listened to philosopher critique Hume's 'Unevidenced beliefs are undesirable' His criticism. Some people have unevidenced beliefs, so they do desire them, so Hume cannot be correct' Games with words...

Yes, I am aware some words have multiple meanings. That doesn't make every and any description or definition using words useless.

Didn't say useless, said flawed. Spoken language has a necessary level of contextual ambiguity, some like this chap exploit that. I don't even know in which sense Hume was using undesirable, not going to miss an argument based only on assuming a different meaning though.

I hope you are OK - ? Social media isn't something the human mind is well adapted for, IMO. Definitely good to take breaks. You are completely right about those slippery arses, BTW.

What did philosophers do to you? Reminds me of the Peter Mulvey song “The Trouble with Poets” (they talk too much).
