I guess I’d put it like this. These discussions with you are gems, and atypical. The face of the social justice movement is not of reasoned dialogue, but of protest. Rarely do I see SJWs defending their claims with more than unsubstantiated cries of bigotry, and shaming.
I did this after getting bogged down in what is the correct definition of 'atheist' and 'feminist' so many times and never getting to actually discuss arguments against the existence of God or how to go about achieving gender equality.

Cool. My goal is never to bog down, only to get clear on shared terminology before moving forward. Otherwise you just have to start over halfway through.
-
This is the problem tho. People never agree to share terminology. They just argue forever about whether an atheist is someone who lacks belief in God or holds a belief that God does not exist. Very very tedious. Much better to establish what they mean by a word & get to substance

I never called myself one until hearing the passive version. Seven on the Dawkins scale seems like too much certainty. We simply can’t know some things.

Most of us are a six, I think.
