Helen you know I adore you but Damore is suing for being discriminated against as a white conservatives man. That’s literally his lawsuit claim. California is an at will state and this cannot be ignored.

You can fill entire football stadiums with cases of wrong but this isn’t one of them. How was he fired for being a white conservative man? This is hyped up nonsense imo and doesn’t address actual issues in the industry.

Realistically, Damore’s situation is an argument for trade unions and robust employment law protections. How anti-discrimination law manages to coexist with ‘at will’ employment contracts is something that frankly baffles me.

It reminds me of when my mother posted memos saying that women should be allowed to take accountancy exams & this was regarded as contrary to the values of the company. They didn't have the term 'hostile environment' then but same difference.
