I challenge anyone to find me ever considering it likely to cause the collapse of western civilization if someone criticises or mocks a peroxided narcissist.https://twitter.com/xriskology/status/970092418812055554 …

When these people feel triggered or "afraid," blocking, censoring, banning, muting, etc. is just fine. When it's a feminist responding to Milo giving a talk, they have a moral panic attack and rave about the collapse of Western civilization. Just, stunning. https://twitter.com/YondaBarry/status/970090888570417152 …

Apparently, the reason I am a dishonest hack and hypocrite and partisan loon is because I think a case of stalking by a lefty is wrong whilst defending Sargon. At some point, I'm going to have to find out who Sargon is, aren't I? American comedian?

You don’t want to know. He’s a pretentious skeptic who sometimes gets things right but often falls short.

A skeptic? Why have I not heard of him then? Hmm. I'll have to look into him. I just know one horrible thing he said & some scandals.

He was involved with GamerGate and shit like that I think. Says stupid stuff all the time and embarrasses himself any time he tried to debate anyone.

Yeah, I followed him for a while here and saw a video or two. Doesn't strike me as a very deep or insightful thinker.

He’s in it for the trollery more than anything else as far as I can tell. But he probably likes tea, so maybe Helen can find some value in that.

"Classical liberal" of some repute. Hated by some for telling a British MP "I wouldn't even rape you" as a result of her. Not as right-leaning as some would suggest, but seemingly kind of center. Some of his stuff is good. Some not so good. Not an academic.

I seemed to have stopped writing a sentence right in the middle... At the time, she was involved in a sort of anti-rape campaign that some viewed as puritanical or misguided. Lots of feminist talking points, etc. Is sort of the context. The MP being a victim of sexual assault...

...many, in turn, took this as a kind of exploitation of that. Sargon's explanation was that she would complain about even non-threats as if they were threats (she had been complaining of twitter harassment from presumably sexist men).

It was a stupid, shitty thing to say to someone (“I wouldn’t even rape you Jess”) and it pretty much sums up what a troll he is really. As someone else said - he’s low brow.

Right... It was Jess Philips. I'm an American. I just see things on Twitter. It was a divisive thing to say, certainly. I know some people that thought it brilliant and some that thought it,as you say, really shitty. I find it difficult to find important except illustrative.
