Have only just stumbled on this and have no idea what the backstory is but even regardless of past interactions, P's email to PB is horrendously rude. I would never presume that I would be welcome to sit in on a class that is not open to the public. 1/

I think you'd see the problem if it was feminism he was so opposed to rather than New Atheism & a feminist he was insisting must hear him out no matter how much she didn;t want to, how much she blocked him, got legal advice, threatened to call police? Or not?

While I cannot disagree that we should leave people alone if they ask for that, it's also very convenient. Going back to Sargon as an example, he created a great deal of critical content aimed at Anita Sarkeesian, -

In response when he turned up to hear her speak, along with many others, she was rude to him, that's what happened, but his content about her veiwed by large numbers of people wasn't seen as a problem, while her being rude in a public forum was, for some reason.
-
That isn't what I heard. I heard that he was regarded as stalking her for going to her talk. I don't care if she was rude to him or he to her. It just seemed a parallel but milder as PT has put out a load of negative content abt PB.

I think Sargon & Anita is a bit apples & oranges v. PT & PB. He attended her panel along with others from the YouTube commentary crowd as a paying attendee of convention. 1/

Yes, they sat in the front row but many have made videos since then that they were genuinely interested in hearing what the panel would say. 2/

I think some expected there could be controversy and planned to make videos, but none expected that she would use her position of power to call him out and trash him as a human being. 3/

He & his friend were making all sorts of connections and networking at VidCon and even reconciling with people they had previously feuded with. 4/

Sargon reconciled with Laci Green who he’d also been critical of and apologized to her. She accepted and got trashed for talking to him. 5/

Yes, this should not be difficult. I had to block a former acquaintance on Twitter after he went nuts and basically called me a Nazi sympathizer. I gave him the opportunity to leave me alone & told him I never wanted to hear from me again but he kept tweeting/DMing so I blocked.
