It was quite a spectacle. I already have a weird religion though so I don’t need another. At least Zoroastrianism does no proselytising. On the contrary, we don’t accept converts.

No, Tulsi Gabbard does not belong to ISKCON. If you google her name and the word “religion” you wil find an October 2017 New Yorker article about her which explores her religious history and ties. It’s not sympathetic to her and seems to want to raise suspicion.

I remember the Hare Krishnas of San Francisco and Berkeley well. As kids, we were frightened of them and would hide whenever they appeared. Nonetheless, I loved, some years later, eating in their restaurant on Telegraph Avenue.

I wasn’t familiar with the acronym ISKCON, so wikipediaed it. The article in French was much more interesting than the one English as there is little pressure here to take religion seriously.
