Thinking about fear of violence & gender. I've found recently since receiving some plausible threats of violence & having to talk to people about it, that I, as a disabled woman, am often expected to be more fearful of it than able-bodied men coz less able to defend myself.
Guns? No. Because 1) They're illegal here. 2) My problem is with co-ordination and vision. I'd be incredibly dangerous. 3) Having a gun seriously increases your risk of getting killed with a gun.
