Thinking about fear of violence & gender. I've found recently since receiving some plausible threats of violence & having to talk to people about it, that I, as a disabled woman, am often expected to be more fearful of it than able-bodied men coz less able to defend myself.

Even if this has no affect at all and realistically, one of my many neurologists would probably have suggested it if it was likely to help, I intend to get slimmer & fitter generally & this will help even if my vision & co-ordination remain bolloxed.

I've been slowly getting better since the last stroke-like thing I had and I'm hopeful that there is still some mending that will happen.

It would be reckless of them to suggest as there's not yet high quality trials in humans showing benefit, however, as you've suspected there may be an effect and it's currently being researched. Good luck!!
