This risks reductiveness, of course, but this is happening on all sides - both the critics and the adherents are largely working on a reduced, condensed, distilled and bastardized version of PoMo (broadly) and it is this which affects society.

The measure of the ideas is not commensurate with the complexity of their presentation. You can study it for years and the upshot is that you've memorized a specific configuration of jargon. Why not just the words we have? It's pathological obscurantism.
