Zero tolerance policy for people talking to me about cake right now. Cake is something I can think about again in June.https://twitter.com/terrybrokebad/status/968913922307903489 …

Might depend on the person. The guy I know who lost over 100 lbs on it had cheat days like every 2 weeks or something like that. He's gained a good portion of weight back now after the diet ended though so maybe that's the real problem.
-
Probably. I'm going to go with the advice of the person willing to mentor me on this right now tho.
-
Yeah, I'm definitely not anywhere near an authority on the topic .

Definitely in the early days. Very easy to get knocked out of ketosis. Exercise will help and then you may get away with something resembling a "cheat" snack.

I found I could eat these and stay in Ketosis: https://www.grenade.com/uk/grenade-carb-killa … taste great too, imo.

Too much protein can mess you up too though, you can end up turning that into glucose. It's a tough diet lol.

You can cheat a little occaisionally but you don't want to pull yourself out of ketosis. Once you are in it for a couple months your insulin resistance is better... you no longer get as big a spike from a high sugar meal...
-
But cake isn't a great cheat. Maybe fruit or whole grain bread is a better plan. A sandwich becomes an amazing treat after you've been eating ketogenic for months.
