Speech isn’t consequence free. There are ethics in adult education which he admits to breaching while saying it’s his right. If he were spending classroom time evangelizing , as an Econ prof of mine once did, he’d be turfed.

But did he evangelise? It would be good to include a variety of religious and political perspectives, no?

If though, it is a witch hunt because he said stuff on social media, the university needs to get its head out of its ass. Professors have power. Ethically he needs to be aware of this and challenge his students without abusing his power.

What did he say that was abusive of power?

@RickRMehta is a decent bloke who is currently being witch-hunted by the SJW brigade because he's a free speech advocate. I've tagged him in so that you can grill him directly.

This coming from a Uni is scary stuff. Bigotry of low expectations? How does a uni classroom work if you can’t argue and discuss with your professor respectfully for long as necessary?pic.twitter.com/XFNlNNdfZA

If this is true than the institute & classes have been corrupted by a culture of favouritism & cronyism.

You know, based on the letter that was delivered to him, if it's true I'd have an issue with some of this as well. I'd be there to take psych, not have someone feel they can vomit their opinions all over me because I'm a captive audience. (letter) https://twitter.com/RickRMehta/status/968507119841366021 …

If it was right before a major test and a teacher burned two classes going on a tangent, even a tangent I'm normally interested in, I'd be freaking. Teach me psych in class and come wax poetic on whatever afterwards at the campus bar.
