So, I have started this keto diet today and egg, bacon and avocado for breakfast was fine but I've struck a hitch. I cannot live without milk because this is living without tea. Help me, tweeps.

I would suggest half n half. Fat is sustaining. Great that you're on this keto thing. I don't think we have that here. I will try going for cream tho. I am eventually taking your advice, yes! I will read this. Thanks!

Cream in Tea!!! Blasphemy! Arrest her! Seriously, it's pretty awful :-) How about alternating tea with lemon with tea with milk (save for those moments when it’s really important).

Wait: avoiding milk is part of a keto diet? I wasn't aware of it being heavily carb-loaded...

The lactose can prevent people from going ketogenic.

When you go into ketosis please be aware that your breath might stink to high heaven. I might be peculiarly sensitive but I can smell that diet from across the room.

Yes, apparently this only lasts a couple of weeks tho. I can avoid people for that time!

That might be right. Hope so. In any case the dieter will surely be immune after a few weeks.

just drink the milk. there are no keto police. changing a lifestyle means increments not a lock down. Every little bit helps 🤓

The amount that goes in tea is so small it will make no difference. Don't sweat it.

Milk is fine. I am no-carb three days a week and I still have milk in my tea & cream in my coffee.

I did keto for a year with full-fat milk for my espresso and it was fine. Kept it at 1/2 a cup per day. Plus, you need that calcium for your teeth and all the other bony whatnots

She’s a Brit, they don’t run on tea without milk. It’s like telling the Dutch to live without kroketten. Have the milk, Helen! It’ll be your cheat-treat.

Helen, time for you to take a journey into oolong, lapsang souchon and dragon well. No milk required. I get this UK supplier to ship to me in Aus from time to tom: @JINGTea - they're great.

Your #teaology is flawed. Try #ateaism. Also, lots of milk.
