With every horror that is heard about via our 24/7 connectivity, it is easy to forget how much better world is and generally how good people are. Of course the potential for evil is always there, just seems to manifests itself less often.

I am a forgetful gobeen. I have left my Kindle twice in foreign countries on my travels, my Tablet twice. All have been returned. Lost my wallet in a carpark in a part of Dublin with a bad rep. Also returned. People are kind.

I left a jacket once. Driver asked how much I would pay him for getting it back. I doubled my original fare & and he told me he would dispose of it. Some people are awful. Then again, I shouldn't have been surprised. It was an

Does Uber not have policies that drivers should return forgotten items? This seems like horrendous business practice nevermind just horrendous on a human left.

They have an "I left something in the car" option in the website. It just forwards your message to the driver & tells you that drivers are independent contractors and it's up to them what to do (paraphrasing. That was a while ago, so I don't remember the exact wording)
